October 24, 2014 01:02 am | Updated May 23, 2016 03:52 pm IST - Bangalore:

The city police have booked a case against the teacher of a prestigious school in Yeshwantpur for indecent exposure but are yet to make headway due to non-cooperation by the parents of the class 3 student.

According to the police, the accused is an arts teacher. He was caught red-handed by colleagues allegedly misbehaving with the girl in a classroom. The incident occurred over a month ago and the school had conducted an internal enquiry.

DCP (North) T R Suresh said, “The parents did not want to file a complaint. We took a statement from the school. A case was registered on September 12 under POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) Act.”

Another senior police officer said, “We have issued a notice to the parents, but they refuse to make a statement due to which the case has not progressed.”
