IAS officers transferred

The State government on Saturday promoted and transferred a few IAS officers. Uma Mahadevan, Secretary, Planning, Programme Monitoring and Statistics, has been promoted to super-time scale (Higher Administrative Grade-HAG) and will continue in the same post.

T. Sham Bhatt, Commissioner, Bengaluru Development Authority, has been promoted to HAG scale and will hold the same post.

Tushar Girinath, Secretary to Chief Minister, has been promoted to HAG scale and posted as Principal Secretary-II to Chief Minister. He has also been given concurrent charge of Chairman, Bengaluru Water Supply and Sewerage Board.

S.R. Umashankar, Secretary, Kannada, Culture, Information and Public Relations Department, has been promoted to HAG scale and will hold the same post.

R.R. Jannu, Commissioner for Religious and Charitable Endowments and ex-officio Additional Secretary, Revenue, is posted as Commissioner for Labour and will also hold the concurrent charge of his previous post.

B.S. Shekarappa, CEO, Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board has been posted as Additional Secretary to Chief Minister.

S. Ziyaullah, Joint Secretary to Chief Minister, has been posted as Managing Director, The Hutti Gold Mines Company Ltd.
