Chairman of Karnataka State Pollution Control Board Lakshman

The business and residential premises of Karnataka State Pollution Control Board chairman Lakshman is being searched by Income Tax (I-T) sleuths for allegedly possessing wealth beyond the known sources of income.

Sources in the I-T department said that four premises, including two residential premises, are being searched currently by different teams. The searches started in the morning and could continue till late in the evening, sources indicated.

“Mr. Lakshman came from a real estate business background before he became KSPCB chairman. The searches in his premises are on the suspicion of undeclared wealth,” sources said. Further details could emerge by evening, sources indicated.
