High Court dismisses plea against chemistry re-exam

April 08, 2016 12:00 am | Updated 05:43 am IST - Bengaluru:

The High Court of Karnataka on Thursday refused to entertain a PIL petition which sought a direction to the authorities to evaluate the answer scripts of II pre-university chemistry exam held on March 21, which was cancelled following question paper leakage, instead of holding the re-exam on April 12.

The petitioners, B.H. Chandrashekar and others, had complained that the decision to hold the re-exam was against the interest of majority of students as the issue of question paper leakage was restricted only to a couple of districts. A Division Bench comprising Chief Justice Subhro Kamal Mukherjee and Justice Ravi Malimath dismissed the petition.
