High Court asks BDA togive details on layouts

The court asked BDA Commissioner to provide the details such as dates of the preliminary and final notifications for acquisition of land for other layouts formed after 1995.

The Karnataka High Court on Monday directed the Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) Commissioner to file an affidavit furnishing details about the schemes finalised and layouts developed after 1995.

Justice S. Abdul Nazeer passed the order while hearing petitions filed by those whose lands have been acquired by the BDA for the formation of Nadaprabhu Kempegowda Layout.

The court asked BDA Commissioner to provide the details such as dates of the preliminary and final notifications for acquisition of land for other layouts formed after 1995, details of parcels of land dropped from acquisition before the final notification, and denotification of land acquired under Section 48(1) of the Land Acquisition Act after issuing of the final notification.

The BDA Commissioner has also been asked to give details on the status of amenities provided to layouts formed after 1995 and the action plan to providing pending amenities to these layouts.

BDA Commissioner Pradeep Singh Kharola has been asked to furnish these details by Friday.
