A history-sheeter who had come out on bail a month ago was bludgeoned to death in Hosaguddadahalli here on Monday afternoon, Byatrayanapura police said.
They identified him as Krishna (27) alias Vale Krishna.
The police said that Krishna was on his motorbike around 4.30 p.m. when he was waylaid by a gang of four who battered him to death with boulders and fled.
They said that Krishna was involved in many criminal cases, including murder and robbery. A resident of Guddadahalli near Bapujinagar on Mysore Road, he had a history-sheet at the Byatarayanapura police station.
Recently released from jail, he had brawled with a rival gang. Byatarayanapura police arrested three suspects, Naveen, Prasad and Nagaraj, and are looking for Soma, who is on the run.
On March 19, in another similar case, 22-year-old Mohammed Yaseen was hacked to death near the bus stand at Govindarajpura junction on K.G. Halli main road by an armed gang that was looking for his older brother. The reason for this attack was also gang rivalry.
