The High Court of Karnataka on Friday asked the State government to respond to a PIL petition, which has sought a direction to take over a temple allegedly built illegally in a park near the police quarters on Magadi Road.

A Division Bench comprising Justices H.G. Ramesh and K.S. Mudagal passed the order on the petition filed by one S. Ravichandra. The petitioner has alleged that the authorities have not acted on his complaint that Sri Saibaba Sarvajanika Ganapathi Devalaya Trust, with a one-man trustee, had built the temple illegally.
