It was a sixer straight on the face, literally, for 24-year-old Tosit Agarwal. As the stadium erupted in jubilation as Hardik Pandya hit a six during the India-Australia One Day International at the Chinnaswamy Stadium, the ball landed on the face of Tosit in the P1 stand.

Soon after being hit, he was taken to the medical centre in the stadium where first aid was administered. He was later taken to HOSMAT hospital where his wounds were sutured.

“He got a cut just below his lower lip, lower teeth and his tongue,” said Ajit Benedict Royan, vice-president, HOSMAT Hospital. He was given a pain-killer.

Tosit is a finance executive.
