Hacked to death over financial dispute

A tender coconut vendor was hacked to death allegedly by a local moneylender and his goons over a financial dispute in Chamarajpet here on Monday.

The deceased is Manja (30) was a resident of 9 Main Chamarajpet. On Monday, Boregowda and two of his associates demanded Manja that he return the money.

Manja refused to pay and Boregowda’s associates attacked Manja’s with lethal weapons and fled.

Passersby rushed Manja to a hospital where the doctors pronounced him dead.

Chamarajpet police have arrested the two assailants. Boregowda is on the run, the police said.
