Habitual offender arrested for blackmailing doctor

The High Grounds police have arrested a habitual offender who used his wife to trap a doctor and extort money from him. The police have also arrested three of his associates in this connection.

According to the police, the accused Anees Ahmed used his wife to lure a doctor from a reputed hospital and invite him for dinner.

The accused later captured the doctor in compromising positions using hidden cameras and blackmailed him to pay money.

The police said that the doctor paid the money initially but later complained to the police when they raised their demands. Based on the complaint the police arrested Anees, his wife along with his associates, Sadiq Pasha, Ajaz and Shafiulla.

Enquiries revealed that Anees was involved in over nine criminal cases. The police have seized Rs. 14.5 lakh from the accused. Futher investigations are on.
