A 23-year security guard was killed on the spot when a truck ran over him on Bellary Road in Chikkajala here on Friday. The victim has been identified as Sunder Singh Bora from Nepal.
He was working as a guard for a private firm in Chikkajala. According to the police, the accident took place at around 9.30 p.m. near Sadahalli Gate when Bora was crossing the road. He was returning home from work. A few passers-by shifted Bora to a near-by hospital where he was declared brought dead. The driver of the truck abandoned the vehicle and fled the spot. The police have registered a hit-and-run case.
