Governor Hans Raj Bhardwaj spoke on the role of the youth in nation-building at the Indian Institute of Planning and Management here on Tuesday.
Mr. Bhardwaj said that Jawaharlal Nehru's vision established elite educational institutions which helped produce skilled manpower, while projects like the Bhakra Nangal dam transformed the fortunes of the riparian States.
“With liberalisation and globalisation today, it is important to have a global perspective as a competitive society. But the interests of the society must also be addressed,” he said.
