A 12-year-old girl was kidnapped by a man in Madiwala on Wednesday. According to the police, Tejeswini, daughter of a cloth merchant, was lured by a man, claiming to be an acquaintance of a family, on the pretext of buying gift for her family.
A boy in the neighbourhood, who noticed this, later informed the family, who then started searching for her.
The family members filed a complaint with the Madiwala police. The police said the family did not receive any ransom calls.
