Get introduced to the world of short films

Over 500 short films from across the globe will be screened at the 4th Bangalore International Short Film Festival, which will begin at the Suchitra Film Society here on Friday.

Over 30 films will be screened daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. during the three-day event. Seminars and workshops will also be held.

Society president H. Shashidhar told presspersons that actor-director Rakshit Shetty will inaugurate the festival. Over 30 films, both in Kannada and also those made in Karnataka in different languages, will be screened during the special section ‘Karnataka Korner’.

Renowned filmmaker Prakash Belawadi said the festival was intended to attract young minds who intended to make short films.

The director of Kannada film Ulidavaru Kandanthe, Rakshit Shetty, will take up a case study on his film. A live sound recording session will be performed by Jamie De Silve. Noted theatre and media personality Prakash Belawadi will review the short films that will be screened.
