Gauri Lankesh case: SIT once again seeks help from public

September 20, 2017 06:29 pm | Updated 06:29 pm IST - Bengaluru

With no leads in Gauri Lankesh murder case, the Special Investigation Team has once again sought help from public on any suspicious person who stayed in hotels, lodges, service apartments and had vacated the premises after September 5.

The police suspect that the killers might have stayed in and around the area for sometime to keep a watch on Gauri's movement and vacated the premises soon after the incident. There are chances that residents might have noticed and had forgotten about them, a senior police officer said. If anyone can recall seeing such a person, the police can verify.

On Wednesday, the Rajarajeshwari Nagar police went around the area and handed over pamphlets, requesting people to help.

Though the handbill did not mention anything about Gauri's murder, the police have requested people to inform about movement of suspicious persons on September 5 or afterwards. The people have been asked to share information with the R.R. Nagar police on 22942559 or 9480801725.
