Gang of five beats up, robs truck driver

A gang of five motorcycle borne men beat up the truck driver and associate to rob cash amount of Rs. 40,000 on NICE road in Kengeri on Monday night.

According to the police, Chetan Kumar and truck driver Lakshman were heading towards Bannerghatta to deliver crushed stones loaded in the truck when the gang blocked their way on NICE Road and beat up Chetan Kumar. Chetan Kumar escaped to save his life and the gang members attacked Lakshman and robbed the cash he was carrying.

Based on a complaint, Kengeri police have taken up a case and are investigating to identify the gang.
