Come Sunday evening, adrenaline junkies can head to the Sree Kanteerava Stadium here to witness breathtaking performances by the world's biggest names in skate-boarding, bicycle motocross (BMX), inline skating and freestyle motocross (FMX).
The Mountain Dew Xtreme Tour begins its India leg here at 5.30 p.m.
A team of 10 professional extreme sports stars comprising legendary skaters Sandro Dias, Eito Yasutoko, Takeshi Yasutoko and Elliot Sloan; 10-time world BMX champion Dennis McCoy and FMX pros Jimmie McGuire, Tommy Clowers, Drake McElroy, Myles Richmond and Nick Dunne will compete in the event.
“I am really excited to be a part of this amazing initiative to popularise action sports and bring the message of skateboarding to India for the first time,” says Dias.
On Saturday, presspersons were given a 20-minute demonstration of the daring stunts in store.
A performance by heavy metal band Kryptos will open the event.
The first 3,000 fans with special edition Mountain Dew cans will get free entry to the show, while others can buy tickets priced at Rs. 500 from www.ticketgenie.in or at the venue.
