Five lakh saplings to be planted in Bengaluru

In a bid to increase the green cover in the Garden City, the government has decided to plant five lakh saplings.

According to Minister for Bengaluru City Development K. J. George, various departments concerned have been intimated to make preparations for implementing such plans from July 15. The initiative would begin by planting saplings on 47 acres of land belonging to the Forest Department near Hennur on that day, he said.
