Five injured due to gas cylinder blast

A family of five sustained injuries due to a gas leak in their house in Magadi Road police limits on Thursday.

The injured have been identified as Narasimha (46), Umadevi (42) and their children Hemanth, Bhaskar and Venkatesh.

Police said that the gas had leaked into the kitchen overnight. When the couple went to the kitchen on Thursday morning and switched on the gas stove, there was fire due to the leaked gas and the family sustained injuries.

They were all rushed to Victoria Hospital where they are being treated.
