Five held on murder charge

May 07, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:33 am IST - Bengaluru:

With the arrest of a five-member gang, the Kumaraswamy Layout police claimed to have cracked the murder case of financier Sunil, a native of Kanyakumari. According to police, Yogesh (24), a real estate agent, had allegedly hired Pradeep, Santosh, Satya and Naveen to kill Sunil, a pre-owned car dealer.

According to police, Sunil was residing in Yogesh’s father’s house on lease. He had been demanding the lease amount because he wanted to shift to another house. This issue led to arguments, and police suspect it must have been the trigger for Sunil’s murder.

On April 30, Pradeep and his friends went near Sunil’s residence and asked him to come out as they wanted to talk to him. When he came out, they threw chilli powder into his eyes and hacked him to death before fleeing from the spot.
