It was a festive mood at Sankey Tank on Sunday (August 20) where hundreds of people gathered to participate in Namma Bengaluru Habba 2017, organised by the Tourism Department. The festival was a one-of-its-kind green initiative aimed at creating awareness about environment preservation. Apart from offering a peek into the rich cultural heritage of Karnataka through mesmerizing art performances, such as Yakshagana, the festival saw a range of unique performances by stilt walkers, street musicians, jugglers, magicians, face painters and caricature and tattoo artists. Flyboarding and jet sking were also part of the festival along with workshops on rainwater harvesting and waste management.
