Fire in agarbathi unit

February 19, 2012 09:45 am | Updated 09:45 am IST - BANGALORE:

Goods worth nearly Rs. 5 lakh were destroyed in a fire that broke out at an incense sticks manufacturing unit off Mysore Road, near Gopalan Mall, on Saturday. Nobody was injured in the blaze that broke out before daybreak.

Although the fire itself was not a major one, Fire Services personnel had a tough time bringing it under control as the unit was engulfed in a thick cloud of smoke. It took 10 fire tenders several hours to sanitise the facility.
