March 13, 2018 02:11 pm | Updated 02:11 pm IST - Bengaluru

A fire broke out at LIC building situated at Anil Kumble Circle on M.G. Road on Tuesday morning.

Passers-by noticed smoke billowing from the second floor of the building around 6.30 a.m. and alerted the fire control room.

Two tenders rushed to the spot and doused the fire by pumping water through the window.

Documents and furniture was gutted. No casualties reported. Though electric short circuit is suspected to be the cause of fire, investigations will pinpoint how the fire started, a senior fire officer said.
