Fertility treatment clinic sealed

March 29, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:32 am IST - Bengaluru:

Srishti Global Medical Care and Charitable Trust, a clinic that claimed to provide fertility treatment, was sealed by the Bengaluru Urban District Health Officer on Saturday.

The move comes nearly three months after a three-member committee formed to look into allegations of cheating recommended that the clinic be shut down. The committee had submitted its report to the Karnataka Medical Council.

Around 25 people had complained to the KMC about being duped and had urged the council to shut it down. The clinic has for long been at the receiving end.

Its founder and managing director K.T. Gurumurthy has been arrested.

On Saturday, a team lead by Bengaluru Urban DHO sealed the clinic, sources said.
