Devotees thronged Krishna temples across the city, as Krishna Janmasthami was celebrated with pomp on Wednesday.

Fancy dress competitions, classical recital, special pujas and floral decorations marked the celebrations.

Special pujas were performed at Sri Govardhan Kshetra of Puttige Math, Venugopal Swamy temple in Malleswaram, Poornaprajna Vidyapeetha Prathistana and ISKCON temple in Rajajinagar among other temples that were decked up. Temples made arrangements for distribution of prasada for devotees. Children dressed up as Krishna and Radha turned up at fancy dress competitions held at Karnataka Milk Federation and Venugopala Swamy temple. A painting competition was also organised for children in KMF.
