Fake job-experience certificate racket busted

A fake job certificate racket was busted by the Central Crime Branch (CCB) sleuths, late on Thursday.

The officials raided two IT firms in Marathahalli and HAL which were issuing fake job experience certificates for Rs. 30,000 to help job seekers to secure jobs.

Based on information, a team of officials raided Nexsys Technologies and VGS Technologies and arrested Krishna (26), Vijay Ragha Reddy (35), Sai Vijay (35) and Venkata Reddy (26). They are originally from Guntur, Ananthpur, Madanapalli and Nellur (Andhra Pradesh) respectively.

The accused had set up around six IT firms as a cover-up and only issued certificates to job seekers.

The CCB officials have seized 1,000 certificates which were ready to be e-mailed to their customers, along with computers laptops and mobile phones. Deputy Commissioner of Police, Abhishek Goel said that the accused have issued thousands of fake certificates for aspirants around the city.

The accused had been operational in the city for many months now, but were lying low after CCB had raided similar fake IT firms in and around the city recently.
