The Central Crime Branch sleuths busted a fake experience certificate racket and arrested 20 persons who were involved.

The alleged members of the racket, identified as Kiran Kumar (35), Rangaraju (35), Sheikh Altaj Ahmed (39), and Balaraj (28), have allegedly been selling fake certificates costing between Rs. 15,000 and Rs. 30,000. They had set up a staff to give feedback to companies who called them for background verification.

City Police Commissioner M.N. Reddi said the accused have been operating for the past three years and have provided jobs to over 25,000 people in various IT and IT-related companies, with the help of fake experience certificates across the country.

Mr. Reddi said, “We have seized the database of all those who have secured jobs. We are writing to IT companies to provide information about persons who have secured jobs using these certificates, so that legal action can be taken against them.”
