Fake cartridges seized by CCB

The Central Crime Branch (CCB) sleuths raided a store in DJ Halli and arrested a businessman, recovering 315 fake printer cartridges worth Rs. 15 lakh which he was selling with labels from reputed brands.

Based on a tip off, a team of police from Crime Branch raided the shop and arrested the owner, identified as Shabbir Ahmed.

According to the police, the accused collected empty cartridges from other stores and establishments and refilled them with duplicate ink and repack it to make it look like the brand new one.

The police have booked a case of cheating under Copyright Act against Shabbir and are investigating further.
