Expect gridlock near Malleswaram

Three massive rallies in support of the Karnataka Prevention of Slaughter and Preservation of Cattle Bill 2010 that will take place on Tuesday are expected to throw traffic out of gear.

The city police have requested motorists to avoid roads in the vicinity of Malleswaram, Jakkarayanakere and Palace Guttahalli between 10.30 a.m. and 11.30 a.m.

A press release from the City Police Commissioner's Office, said seers of several maths and thousands of activists from various parts of the State along with cattle are participating in the rallies.

The rallies are being organised by the Cow Progeny Protection Force (CPF), All Religions Parliament and Govamsha Hathye Muktha Karnataka Nirmana Sanghatanegala Okkoota.

Rallies will begin from the Government College playground off Malleswaram 18{+t}{+h} Cross, Jakkarayanakere and Palace Guttahalli Circle, culminating at the Malleshwaram playground.

Hence gridlocks are expected in the vicinity of Margosa Road, Malleswaram Bridge, Malleswaram 5th Cross, Malleswaram 7th Cross, K.C.G. Junction and Dattatreya Temple.

Commuters should avoid these roads.

Meanwhile the organisers have urged Governor H.R. Bhardwaj to give assent to the Anti-Cow Slaughter Bill passed in the Assembly recently.
