Exhibition of rare coins

The three-day national numismatic exhibition will begin on Friday at The Bell Hotel, next to the city railway station here. A variety of ancient coins — from primitive coins dating back to 2,500 years to some coins belonging to the Mysore rulers — will be displayed by collectors from across the country. Organised by Marudhar Arts, the exhibition will showcases 927 varieties. Many rare coins will be auctioned. For the first time, the Oriental Numismatic Society of London, will take part in the show and over eight numismatic scholars will present their papers. Entry is free. For details, call 65329800.
