Executive reshuffle in Wipro

IT and outsourcing major Wipro announced a shuffle among its top executives following the exit of Anand Sankaran, senior vice-president Global Infrastructure Services and Wipro Infotech, here on Thursday.

Shaji Farooq is now the global head of Wipro’s Banking, Finance Services and Insurance (BFSI) strategic business unit, taking over from Soumitro Ghosh. Mr. Ghosh has now been appointed as head of Wipro Infotech, the India and Middle East business, Wipro said in a release. G.K. Prasanna will take over Mr. Sankaran’s Global Infrastructure Services portfolio in addition to his role with Product Engineering Services. Jeffrey Heenan Jalil has been appointed as vice president and global head of Advanced Technologies.

All appointments will be effective from January 1, 2014, and all the new appointees will report to Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director, T.K. Kurien, the release added.
