Suspected electrical short-circuit led to fire in a truck’s engine carrying drums of oil on NICE Road near Kanakapura toll booth on Tuesday noon under Thalghatta police station limits. No casualty was reported.

According to the Fire and Emergency Services personnel, the incident took place around 2.18 p.m. Soon, after short-circuit, both the front and back tyres of the truck started burning. A few passers-by immediately alerted the Fire and Emergency Services Department who rushed to the spot.
