Eight new suburban train services from Monday

In another incremental step towards achieving a suburban network in Bengaluru, the Railways will start eight services from Monday from KSR Bengaluru City, Whitefield, Banaswadi, and Baiyappanahalli stations.

Whitefield to Baiyappanahalli MEMU service will depart at 9 a.m. (in the return direction at 4.45 p.m.). The journey takes 20 minutes and the train will have halts at K.R. Puram and Hoodi.

KSR Bengaluru City to Baiyappanahalli MEMU service will depart at 7.50 a.m. (in the return direction at 6.56 p.m.). The journey takes 25 minutes and the train will have halts at Bengaluru Cantonment and Bengaluru East.

There will be four new DEMU services between Banaswadi and Hosur. Departures from Banaswadi will be at 9.50 a.m. and 12.40 a.m. and from Hosur at 11.15 a.m. and 3.20 p.m. The journey will take 70 minutes and the train will have halts at Baiyappanahalli, Bellandur Road, Karmelaram, Heelalige, and Anekal Road.

The trains will run on all days of the week, except on Sundays.
