Duo snatch cash from BMTC conductor

Two men snatched the bag of a BMTC bus conductor, which contained around Rs 4,500 in cash, after a bitter tiff near Rupena Agrahara on Wednesday night. Their passes had expired, but they refused to buy tickets. This led to an argument in the midst of which the two men snatched away the conductor’s bag and alighted from the running bus. A case has been registered by Madiwala police.

In another incident, Vikramaditya Singh (24) from Ranchi, who works in a private firm, was assaulted and robbed of his valuables at knife point by two bike-borne men at Ashraya Nagar on Wednesday night. He lost his mobile phone and Rs 10,000. He was on the way to catch a bus to Tamil Nadu when he was attacked. Mahadevapura police have registered a case.

Gang of robbers busted

HAL police have busted a gang of robbers and recovered valuables worth Rs 10 lakh. The arrested have been identified as Bhavi Chandra, a resident of Sarjapura, Kishore Rao and Punith Kumar, both residents of Mahadevapura. The trio own a small travel firm. They would offer to drop techies in the night and rob them.
