The Mico Layout police on Monday arrested a 25-year-old MBA graduate from Odisha for peddling marijuana to college students.

Based on a tip-off, a team of police raided a place near Muneshwara temple near Christ College and nabbed Deepak Kumar, native of Kandamal, and his associate Subrath Kumar (27) and recovered 7.80 kg. of ganja from them.

Deepak Kumar confessed that he is a drug addict and started peddling drugs to make more money. He would get the contraband from his contact in Odisha, transport it to the city and sell it to college students to make money.

The police have booked the duo under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, and remanded them to judicial custody.
