The city police have ensured tight security cover for the seven cricket matches to be played at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium during IPL 2015. The matches are scheduled on April 13, 19, 22, 29 and May 2, 6 and 17.

The measures include 66 CCTV cameras, anti-sabotage checks, a mobile CCTV vehicle, and drone cameras. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central Division) Sandeep Patil said that two Deputy Commissioners, 17 Assistant Police Commissioners, 42 Inspectors and 82 Sub-Inspectors will be among those deployed in and around the stadium. They will be supported by 300 personnel from the VVIP security division and 10 platoons of the State Reserve Police. Cigarettes, snacks, match boxes, pocket knives, cameras, binocular, laptops, musical instruments, water bottles, medicines, liquor, handbags, perfumes, umbrellas, batteries and torches cannot be carried inside, Mr. Patil said. On the day of the matches, parking will not be allowed in and around the stadium from 2 a.m. to 11. 30 p.m. The last train of Namma Metro from MG Road to Byappanahalli will leave at 12.30 a.m. on match days.
