DPUE extends deadline for applying for supplementary examination

In view of large number of applications received for photocopies, the Department of Pre-University Education (DPUE) has extended the deadline for applying for supplementary exam from May 27 to June 6.

With delay in sending photocopies, the department has also extended the last date for applying for re-evaluation and re-totalling to June 3.

According to a press release, as on Tuesday, 13,500 photocopies of answer scripts have been despatched through Speed Post. The dispatched photocopies in districts other than Bengaluru will reach in 48 hours.

The department has so far received 22,915 applications for photocopies of 44,723 answer scripts.

Re-evaluation

The department release said that it received 9,237 applications requesting re-evaluation of 15,075 answer scripts and 321 applications seeking re-totalling of 574 scripts.

A team of around 300 is working round the clock to complete the task. Out of 147 withheld cases, 33 have been cleared.

The department has also posted the register numbers of photocopies despatched on its website. The re-evaluation process will start from Wednesday.
