Doctor’s house burgled

A gang of six men barged into the house of a doctor residing in Jakkur on Tuesday morning, overpowered her and her family members, and fled with gold jewellery and cash worth several lakhs of rupees.

According to the police, the gang entered the house by cutting open the gate at around 3 a.m. The men wore masks and were armed, the police said. After tying up the family members using ropes, the gang ransacked the house.

The victim, Dr. Chetana, managed to escape and alerted the police.
