A gynaecologist from a city hospital has filed a complaint saying that she is being blackmailed by an unidentified person who claims to have videos of her bathing. The blackmailer has allegedly threatened to put up the footage online if she does not pay him ₹20 lakh.

The incident came to light when the doctor found a typed letter left on her table at work in Yeshwantpur, the police said.

The doctor is living with her children. Her husband passed away a few years ago. The police have registered a case and investigating further. “We suspect that someone known to her might have done this,” said a police officer.
