The Royal College of Surgeons (RCS), England, and Nova Medical Centers will jointly organise a two-day multi-speciality surgical symposium, “The Art of the Possible”, here from May 13.
Giving details about the symposium, RCS president John Black told presspersons on Tuesday that 325 surgeons from all over the world, including 250 from India, will participate in the symposium.
The symposium will have sessions on different surgical topics such as surgical infections, breast reconstruction, major limb trauma, paediatric surgery, transplantation and vascular surgery, cancer care 2010, inflammatory arthritis and horizons in endoscopy, he said.
On the occasion, 12 surgeons chosen from all over India, including three from Bangalore — Devi Shetty, Sharan Patil and Mahesh Reddy, will be conferred with honorary fellowships by the Royal College of Surgeons, he said.
The symposium is being held to impart and enable surgeons to achieve and maintain the highest levels of surgical practice and patient care, Mr. Black added.
