Parents have demanded a safety audit in the Jalahalli school by Saturday and submission of the report to the 10-member parent committee. They also asked to see the licence along with a copy of the letter of affiliation from CBSE for the Jalahalli campus. A few parents demanded to see the working of CCTV cameras in the campus.

Police sources said that the school has 77 teaching staff of which only three are male. It has 37 non-teaching staff, six security guards and five office staff. Police said that background checks had been conducted on the staff and the school had complied with most safety guidelines.

Panel seeks report

A Legislature Committee on Women and Child Welfare has sought a detailed report before November 6 from the State Home Department on the sexual assault on a three-year-old girl at a school in Jalahalli.

The committee, headed by Congress MLA Shakuntala Shetty, met on Thursday. It sought details on installation of CCTV cameras in the school, details of FIR registered and steps taken to ensure safety of girl students on the premises.
