‘Data operators have been paid'

Karnataka State Electronics Development Corporation (KEONICS) said that salaries to 736 data operators deployed in Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) offices had been paid according to an agreement between the two organisations.

Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, KEONICS chairperson M. Yangareddy said KEONICS had provided 736 people in different cadre for the BBMP.

“KEONICS has paid the candidates from our funds even though payment was not received from BBMP for April, May and June 2010,” he said.
