Passersby handed over to the police a man, who along with two others was allegedly harassing a BPO employee in Banashankari on Monday night. The girl had been dropped by her father at Kadrenahalli Bus Stop from where she usually is picked up by her office cab.
A few minutes after her father dropped her, three men appeared and started harassing her. Sensing trouble, she raised an alarm. Passers-by caught one of the men and handed him over to the police. The Banashankari police are on the lookout for the two other men.
Security guard attackedA security guard of an ATM kiosk was attacked by two men in Kammagondanahalli Main Road in Gangammanagudi on Monday night. The victim, Ayyanna, sustained severe head injuries and has been hospitalised. According to the police, Ayyanna was on duty at the HDFC Bank ATM. Around 11.30 p.m., he noticed two men engaging in a verbal duel in front of the ATM. Stating that they were creating a nuisance, he tried to shoo them away, police said. Enraged by this, the duo attacked Ayyanna. They overpowered him, snatched his stick and hit him on the head. The Gangammanagudi police have taken up a case of assault and are investigating.
