Contempt of court notice to Suja Jones

December 07, 2013 12:08 am | Updated November 17, 2021 04:51 am IST - Bangalore:

The Karnataka High Court on Friday ordered issue of contempt of court notice to Suja Jones Mazurier on a petition filed by her husband, Pascal Mazurier, an employee of French Foreign Ministry’s diplomatic service, who is facing the charge of raping his three-and-half-year-old daughter Mr. Mazurier complained in his petition that his wife had allegedly disobeyed the July 20, 2013 order of the Third Additional Principal Family Court, Bangalore, which had granted visitation right to his mother, Jacqueline Maillé, permitting her to meet his three children at Bangalore Mediation Centre on July 24.

A Division Bench comprising Justice K.L. Manjunath and Justice A.V. Chandrashekara, before whom the petition came up for hearing, adjourned further hearing till December 20.

The petition said that the suit filed by Suja Jones Mazurier seeking a permanent injunction restraining him from removing the children from her custody and out of India, was dismissed by the family court on August 29 for non-prosecution. It was on this suit that the family court had initially restrained him from approaching his children and later permitted his mother to meet the children.

The rape case against him was registered after his wife complained in June 2012.
