Two men, including a police constable, ended their lives by hanging in their homes in the city on Saturday.

Constable Madhusudhan (28), attached to Sampigehalli police station from the past three years, allegedly hanged himself to death at his house in Chokkanahalli on Saturday night. Sources said he was depressed after his wife committed suicide in April. He was married for over a year. However, the couple had marital differences. On Saturday, he left Sampigehalli police station at 6 p.m., saying he was unwell. A neighbour found him hanging in the hall at around 8.10 p.m. Sampigehalli police have registered a case of unnatural death.

In another incident, an M.Tech graduate hanged himself to death. The deceased, Mahesh (30), was working as a senior engineer in a private factory in Peenya Industrial Area but was recently fired. He was alone in the house in Lakshmipura, K G Nagar on Saturday. His parents found his body when they returned from his sister's house at night. The family told police that Mahesh was depressed after being fired and had not taken up any job since then.
