‘Congress govt. indifferent to plight of people’

Bharatiya Janata Party national vice-president B.S. Yeddyurappa has accused the Congress government in Karnataka of being indifferent to the sufferings of people who are reeling under serious drought.

At a programme organised to mark the BJP’s foundation day here on Wednesday, Mr. Yeddyurappa took exception to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and prominent Congress leaders thinking of a Cabinet expansion and making appointments to the various boards and corporations instead of focussing on responding to the plight of people affected by drought.
