Complaint for dumping effluent in Vrushabavathi

Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB) on Wednesday registered a complaint against New Foods Private Limited, based in Antarasanahalli in Tumakuru, for illegally discharging industrial effluent into the Vrushabavathi river. According to the complaint filed with the Kengeri police, the company would bring effluent in water tankers and discharge them illegally into the river at night.

Based on a tip-off, one tanker carrying effluent was intercepted at Rajarajeshwari Nagar on Wednesday around 7.30 a.m.
