The Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) authorities have announced that students who have obtained medical and dental seats during the first round of counselling can surrender them between July 23 and 25, and not as earlier announced on July 11, 12 and 13.
So, COMEDK will conduct the second round of counselling for admission to private medical and dental colleges between July 26 and 27.
However, the seat surrender process for engineering seats will take place as scheduled between July 13 and 17.
Students wanting to surrender architecture seats may do so on July 22 and 23.
Day eight of counselling
Meanwhile, on day eight of the COMEDK counselling on Friday for engineering aspirants, 746 candidates attended the counselling session and grabbed as many as 684 engineering seats.
As many as 11,210 engineering seats, which include 11,058 general merit seats, 92 Christian minority seats and 60 Tulu minority seats are available for day 9 of COMEDK counselling to be held on Saturday.
