Three held for buying drugs online and selling to students

The Central Crime Branch (CCB) sleuths busted a drug peddling racket and arrested a gang of three college dropouts for purchasing drugs online and selling them to other college students.

Based on a tip-off, police officials busted the racket with the arrest of Manikantan (26, while he was trying to sell drugs to his clients near Devegowda petrol pump on Tuesday.

After questioning Manikantan, police picked up two of his associates identified as Debendu Roy (26) and Jagsai Pravesh (23) from Banashankari and RMV extension.

Officials have also recovered eight grams of ecstasy pills worth Rs. 2.2 lakh, four LSB blotting papers of one gram each, 90 grams of Marijuana, 23 grams of Charas, four mobile phones and a laptop from the accused.

The accused confessed that they had been ordering ecstasy pills online and getting the contraband delivered to their address on regular basis. However they would get LSD, charas and Ganja from some contacts in Goa.

The accused said that their clientless included students from Dayanand Sagar College, M.S. Ramaiah and PES College in Bengaluru.
