City-Chennai double-decker train to run from today

The regular services of Bangalore City-Chennai Central double-decker daily express will commence on Thursday.

The South Western Railway, Bangalore Division, said Train No.22625 will leave Chennai Central at 7.25 a.m. and arrive in Bangalore City at 1.30 p.m. In the return direction, Train No. 22626 will leave Bangalore City at 2.40 p.m. to reach Chennai Central at 8.45 p.m. The train has 10 AC double-decker chair cars and two generator vans. It will run from Chennai Central via Arakkonam, Katpadi, Ambur, Jolarpet, Bangarpet, Krishnarajapuram and Bangalore Cantonment to reach Bangalore City.

For the Thursday journey, 887 tickets were booked from Chennai Central to Bangalore City and 582 seats for the return journey.
